CARING FOR FORESTS
Our caring credo is best evidenced by our capacity to fully utilise our valuable forest assets and to achieve higher utilisation and value standards in wood manufacturing than our “competitors have ever dreamed about.
While various research bodies are working hard to develop new technologies to deal with immature and plantation hardwoods with limited success, we have quietly mastered the process by using old methods combined with new technology to produce the optimal outcome.
New methods being studied by others generally consume even higher levels of energy than the dinosaur operations that generally exist in Australia and are still penalised by high levels of drying degrade that seriously compromise product value, final product volume yields and profit outcomes.
Our natural, low temperature and gentle solar drying technology, combined with advanced cyclic drying prescriptions make our process a sustainable and reliable method of saving our environment at the same time as providing highly profitable outcomes.
Our low cost drying technology allows us to process and dry the full range of lower quality products that normal forest operations naturally produce. Others who use conventional technology simply cannot afford to process this material because of high waste factors. This is just another reason why we stand by our claim to REALLY CARING and not just talking about it.
In the case of difficult species like young redgum sawlog material and many other Australian species, our low cost technology allows us the luxury of being able to cost- effectively take a little more time to produce the result that others, through cost pressures cannot emulate.
Our policy of allowing for optional direct involvement in the company by way of direct shareholding by plantation and woodlot owners and sawmillers is unique. It is also a practical way of sharing the spoils from start to finish at the same time as delivering quality product to end users in the most efficient, lowest cost way.
- If you have timber resource, we are the best option for you.
- When it comes to processing “difficult” timber species and products, our skills, technology and commitment provide the answers
